Alfie Curling is incredibly knowledgable about all things South Africa. His background of growing up in Kruger and his current location in Capetown add to his vast knowledge of S.A. Birds, mammals, and culture. I spent the last 11 days on tour with Alfie as our guide and it was completely enjoyable. He is one of the friendliest people I know, and also keeps it professional at the same time. I highly recommend all things Alfie Curling!

It was a great tour, we enjoyed our first birding tour! Alfie knows all the birds and is the best guide! We saw 63 different birds in 8h. Most of them had beautiful colour, were endemic to the western cape, rapors, or were had something else interesting. We definitely got now the birding fewer and also try some back home.

I was very lucky to have found Alfie. He is extremely passionate about birds and his enthusiasm and deep knowledge in them shines through during our tour to the Rooi-Els and the vicinity. I saw 40 lifers including the near threatened Cape Rockjumper and Ground Woodpecker! It was a very good trip and I wish I had more days to go birding. If you’re a birder or a bird photographer, I highly recommend Alfie to be your guide. You will not be disappointed.
